I feel lucky to have known you, Wendy. It was always a pleasure to see you around Caversham, in the school playground and in your garden over a cup of tea. I will miss your warmth, honesty and dry wit, and sharing stories with you about bringing up our lovely (and occasionally troublesome) sons. You dealt with the last two years with such courage, grace and dignity. You will be missed by so many people. Thank you for the generosity and hospitality you showed me and my family in recent years.
